🎹Piano Tips🎹
Every pianist starts learning from scratch with little to no skills. While some might succeed in learning a song within a
short period of time, others might take ages. With the right strategies, you can speed up your progress to master everything
related to piano playing. Below are some tips that can help you master the piano.
1. Finger and hand position
To make your piano playing experience easier, you should start by playing your left and right hand parts
separately. After mastering this technique, you can gradually move on to play with both hands. This method
will help you improve your hand coordination when playing your song.
For your finger position, it is good to curve them as if you are holding on to a ball, and strike down and rebound
on each note in order to produce a good sound.
2. Train your ears
Listen to professional pianists and other songs to train your hearing. Training your ears will
prove to be extremely useful on improving your piano playing, as you will be able to play the correct
sound when practicing your song.
3.Record your practice sessions
In order to succeed at piano playing, you have to be able to identify your weak areas that require improvement.
Therefore, recording your practice sessions will allow you to find any mistakes you made while playing the
piano and you can improve on those areas.
4. Separate your songs into sections
When learning new songs, you have to memorise new and complex hand movements, and there's a limit on how much
you can remember and learn. Instead of trying to learn the whole song at once, try splitting the song into small
sections to make it easier to learn and play the song smoothly.
5. Frequently practice
You will get better results when you practice for 30 minutes a day instead of 3 hours a week. It's about
how often you practice, not how long you practice.
